SMT GB names Brandfixx as TOP SUPPLIER for 2024

SMT GB names Brandfixx as top supplier for 2024, recognising reliability and innovation for shared sustainability goals.

We’re proud to announce that Brandfixx has been named Top Supplier of the Year for 2024 by the SMT’s Procurement Team in Great Britain, scoring an impressive 90% in their annual Supplier Performance Programme.

This recognition is based on a comprehensive scoring process that evaluates suppliers across critical areas, including compliance, sustainability, quality, communication, and support. For Brandfixx, it’s a clear reflection of our commitment to delivering innovative, scalable, and eco-conscious vehicle branding solutions that support SMT operations and customer experience.

A Partnership Built on Performance and Progress

Our partnership with SMT began back in 2017 with a simple goal: to improve the application of chevrons on Volvo Construction Equipment excavators. What followed was a complete transformation of their branding process, from slow and labour-intensive painting to high-speed modular vinyl kits that deliver consistent quality and reduce vehicle downtime.

By switching to our precision-fit reflective kits, SMT GB was able to increase output from just 3-4 machines a week to as many as six per day, helping them clear backlogs, maintain compliance, and keep their fleet looking professional.

As Garry Wilcock, SMT Operations Director,  recalls: “I remember it well, going back to 2017 and my first introduction to Brandfixx... a local family company with a great attitude and perseverance. Working with David, the owner and Greg, who now runs the business, has been a seamless experience. I’m so pleased to see their well-earned No. 1 ranking in our Supplier Performance Programme.”

Sustainability at the Core

The relationship between SMT and Brandfixx has also been a story of shared values, particularly around sustainability. In 2021, our collaboration expanded to include eco-friendly vinyl options. Since then, we’ve helped SMT reduce VOC (volatile organic compound) emissions - harmful gases released from traditional solvents - eliminate packaging waste, and dramatically cut operational delays.

Key milestones include:

● Over 4,000 kits supplied since 2017

● 86% increase in operational time vs. painted methods

● 1,680 kg VOCs saved since 2017

● Zero health & safety incidents - 100% compliance

● 3.5-day average dispatch in 2024 - a 28.57% improvement year-on-year

● 20 tCOe avoided, 678 trees planted in 2024

This award marks not just a proud moment for our team but a powerful reminder of what long-term, purpose-driven partnerships can achieve. We thank the entire SMT GB team for their trust, collaboration, and shared vision.
